There should be a series/movie based on the bible that isn't whitewashed and doesn't shy away from the intense violence and bizare sexual scandals that the bible is filled with. The romans are pretty much the only characters that should be white.

I remember when this series caught my attention. I had no idea when I bought it that it was done by Roma Downey. That was an even greater surprise when I found that out. This was really inspired work and Christ was the perfect choice. I consider this to be far more greater than Lord of the Rings or any other popular entertainment. Diogo Morgado gave a stunning performance and the visual effects are breathtaking!
